Kuala Lumpur, 17 January 2026 – Following HELP University’s update on the ongoing investigations, AmanahRaya-Kenedix REIT Manager Sdn. Bhd., the Manager of AmanahRaya Real Estate Investment Trust (“AmanahRaya REIT”) wishes to provide a further update in relation to the incident at HELP University, Bukit Damansara.
As previously announced on 12 January 2026, AmanahRaya REIT acted promptly by undertaking proactive steps to facilitate a comprehensive assessment of the affected area and surrounding structures, including the appointment of independent forensic team, while reaffirming its full cooperation with the relevant authorities, including the Fire and Rescue Department, police and emergency services. These measures were taken to support a transparent, professional, and thorough fact-finding process.
In parallel, AmanahRaya REIT is working closely with HELP University to ensure that the safety and well-being of all individuals affected by the incident remain the top priority, and that appropriate precautionary measures are implemented in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.
AmanahRaya REIT notes and fully aligns with the authorities’ position that investigations are ongoing and that no conclusions have been reached at this stage. In this regard, AmanahRaya REIT supports the investigative process and will continue to cooperate fully until all findings are verified and finalised.
As the property owner, AmanahRaya REIT is working closely with HELP University and the appointed property manager, Knight Frank Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., to facilitate the necessary safety checks, risk assessments and precautionary measures at the affected premises. These steps form part of AmanahRaya REIT’s ongoing role in supporting a safe and secure campus environment, in partnership with HELP University and the relevant authorities, with the shared objective of ensuring the safety and well-being of students, staff and visitors. This includes the review and execution of routine maintenance and safety protocols as part of prudent asset management practices.
