Bhd. (“SSB”) has accepted a Letter of Award (“LOA”) valued at RM10.54 million for sub-contract works relating to the design, supply, engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (“EPCC”) of 275kV transmission underground cables and a 275kV TNB switchyard extension at Pencawang Masuk Utama (“PMU”) Bukit Tarek, Hulu Selangor, Selangor.

The project forms part of the interconnection facility and transmission infrastructure development for the Large-Scale Solar 5 (“LSS5”) Petra project located in Bestari Jaya. The scope of works will facilitate the transmission link between the solar facility and the 275kV PMU Bukit Tarek, enabling the integration of renewable energy into Malaysia’s national power grid.

The sub-contract works will commence upon the issuance of site possession approval by the main contractor, with completion expected within six months from the site possession date. The indicative project timeline includes horizontal directional drilling works from April 2026 to October 2026, followed by cable pulling works scheduled between August 2026 and October 2026.

The appointment underscores Master Tec’s continued participation in high-voltage transmission infrastructure projects that support Malaysia’s energy transition and the growing deployment of large-scale solar capacity across the country.

Mr. Tee Kok Hwa, Chief Executive Officer of Master Tec Group commented, “This project reflects the increasing investment in transmission infrastructure required to support Malaysia’s renewable energy ambitions. We are pleased that Sediacom has been entrusted with this critical scope of works, which leverages our technical capabilities in high-voltage cable systems and grid infrastructure. As the country accelerates the deployment of large-scale solar projects, we see growing opportunities for Master Tec to contribute to the strengthening and expansion of the national grid.”

The project is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of Master Tec Group over the duration of the contract, while having no effect on the Group’s share capital or shareholding structure.

Master Tec remains focused on expanding its participation in Malaysia’s evolving power infrastructure landscape, particularly in projects supporting grid upgrades, renewable energy integration and transmission network expansion. The Group continues to strengthen its technical expertise and operational capacity to support the increasing demand for high-performance cable and transmission solutions nationwide.
