Targeting ports, energy and coastal industry with planned local integration and service support
DUBAI, UAE, Oct. 8, 2026- Robo.ai Inc. (Nasdaq: AIIO) (“Robo.ai” or the “Company”) today announced that its controlled subsidiary ALIF Holding, the Abu Dhabi-based industrial group, presented an integrated oil spill response system concept for its proposed ALIF Maritec venture. The proposed system is intended for ports, oil and gas terminals, offshore facilities, shipyards and coastal industrial sites. It would connect spill monitoring, containment, recovery and post-incident assessment, supported by engineering, training and maintenance services.
Its intended advantages include coordinated command across monitoring information, response equipment and operating teams, configurations tailored to different operating environments, and local service support. Equipment selection would reflect the characteristics of the spilled oil, sea conditions and site requirements, with human operators remaining responsible for response authorization, operational decisions and safety.
The industry context spans international shipping and energy infrastructure. According to UN Trade and Development (UNCTAD), shipping carries over 80% of world merchandise trade by volume. In the related materials sector, Mordor Intelligence estimates the global oil spill remediation materials market at US$4.23 billion in 2025 and projects US$5.22 billion by 2031. This estimate covers materials used in marine, freshwater and land applications; it is not a measure of the proposed system’s addressable market or a forecast of the Company revenue.
The initiative builds on ALIF Holding’s industrial development plans. On September 25, 2026, the group held the groundbreaking ceremony for Phase I of its industrial park in Umm Al Quwain. As previously disclosed, Phase I has a designed gross floor area of approximately 8,845 square meters and envisages refurbishment of existing factory premises to support local integration and manufacturing. ALIF Maritec is expected to be the first project to move in once refurbishment is complete and the site is operationally ready.
ALIF Holding plans to link technical validation and system engineering with customer requirements while evaluating pilot opportunities in the UAE. It also intends to assess local integration, assembly, training and maintenance arrangements, with the aim of progressively building equipment delivery and ongoing service capabilities. This approach aligns Robo.ai’s industrial strategy with specific applications and local operating requirements. Implementation remains subject to technical results, partner arrangements, site rights, refurbishment, company formation, funding and necessary approvals; the concept itself does not establish commercial readiness.
ALIF Holding welcomes discussions with maritime operators, energy companies, industrial asset owners and technology partners on site requirements and potential pilots.
