As part of its August 2026 team-building programme, Futuromic brought 67 staff members together at Summer Bay Resort, Lang Tengah, Terengganu for a meaningful experience centred on marine conservation, environmental awareness and team unity. The programme was organised with FGNC Team Works Academy, with the turtle release supported by Summer Bay Resort, Lang Tengah, and the coral planting activity carried out in collaboration with Coralku.

Giving 75 Baby Green Turtles a Start in Life

One of the most meaningful moments of the programme was the release of 75 baby green turtles back into the sea. Held in the evening, the activity gave Futuromic staff the opportunity to take part in a hands-on conservation effort while learning about the delicate journey of turtle hatchlings.
Before the release, participants attended a short beach briefing on the importance of allowing hatchlings to crawl naturally across the sand. This process helps them imprint on the beach’s natural magnetic and chemical signatures, which may guide surviving females back to the same beach to lay eggs when they reach maturity.
The activity also highlighted the importance of responsible handling. Participants were briefed on avoiding direct contact with the hatchlings, as human hands may transfer oils, bacteria or sunscreen chemicals to their sensitive skin. The organisers also shared that only around 1 in 1,000 hatchlings survive to adulthood, reinforcing the importance of protecting their journey from the very beginning.
Supporting Coral Restoration with Coralku

In addition to the turtle release, Futuromic also participated in a coral conservation activity. The programme included a Coral Talk at Sunset Lounge, followed by Coral Planting, giving participants a deeper understanding of marine biodiversity and coral reef preservation.
For this initiative, Futuromic collaborated with Coralku, a research-driven marine conservation non-profit organisation based in Pulau Lang Tengah, Terengganu. As part of the programme, the team planted 10 coral frames, where small coral fragments were attached to metal frames to grow and mature into new colonies in the resort’s lagoon.

Teamwork with Purpose
Beyond the CSR activities, the programme also included indoor and outdoor team-building sessions designed to strengthen collaboration, trust, communication and team spirit. These included activities such as What’s My Value, A Cut Above, The Spy Game Saboteur, Mission Impossible, snorkelling and a closing Drum Circle Session.
These activities were carefully selected to reflect and reinforce Futuromic’s ARISE values — Adaptability, Responsibility, Integrity & Innovation, Respect and Engagement. Through each activity, staff were encouraged to adapt to new challenges, take ownership of their roles, communicate with integrity, respect different working styles and engage meaningfully with one another.
Together, these experiences complemented the conservation programme by encouraging staff to work together in new environments, step out of their daily routines and build stronger connections with one another.

Create. Connect. Inspire. in Action

Futuromic’s CSR activity in Lang Tengah reflects the spirit of Create. Connect. Inspire.
Through this initiative, the team helped create awareness around marine conservation, connect with nature and one another, and inspire a stronger sense of responsibility towards Malaysia’s marine environment.
By releasing baby turtles and supporting coral restoration, Futuromic demonstrated that meaningful impact can begin with simple but purposeful action. The experience also reinforced the importance of preserving Malaysia’s natural heritage for future generations to witness, appreciate and protect.
