KUALA LUMPUR, 17 APRIL 2025 — Advancecon Holdings Berhad (前进控股有限公司) (“Advancecon” or “the Group”) (Bursa: 5281), a leading provider of earthworks and civil engineering services in Malaysia, is pleased to announce the appointment of Madam Alicia Chin Mei Yoke (“Alicia”) as the Group’s new Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”), effective immediately. Her appointment follows the resignation of the Group’s former CFO, Mr. Tan Chee Keong, who stepped down to pursue other professional interests. The Board extends its sincere appreciation to Mr. Tan for his valuable contributions and service to the Group.
With over 25 years of financial leadership experience, primarily within the global oil and gas sector, Alicia brings a wealth of expertise in financial management, strategic planning, and transformation leadership. Her career spans prominent roles across Asia Pacific with major multinationals including General Electric and Baker Hughes, where she most recently served as Assistant Controller & Transformation Leader within Baker Hughes’ Global Finance Organisation. In that capacity, Alicia was responsible for financial operations across two global hubs, and transformation initiatives for a team of over 600 personnel.
Her strategic acumen has been instrumental in driving operational efficiencies, profitability enhancements, and organisational agility. Throughout her tenure with Baker Hughes and GE Oil & Gas, Alicia led complex financial planning and cash flow management for businesses exceeding USD1 billion in revenue, while building strong, high-performing finance teams across the region. Her expertise will be invaluable in managing asset allocation and utilisation to support the Group’s long-term growth strategy.
