KUALA LUMPUR, 23 APRIL 2025 – MN Holdings Berhad (“MN Holdings” or the “Group”), a leading infrastructure utilities construction and engineering solutions specialist in Malaysia, is pleased to announce that its wholly-owned subsidiary, MN Power Transmission Sdn. Bhd. (“MNPTSB”), received the two signed contract agreements dated 21 April 2025, valued at RM29.7 million from Fabulous Sunview Sdn. Bhd. (“FSSB”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sunview Group Berhad.

Under these agreements, MNPTSB has been appointed as the Interconnection Facilities (“IF”) Contractor for two 29.99 Megawatt Alternating Current (“MWac”) solar power plant projects in Mukim Sungai Petani, Daerah Kuala Muda, Kedah. The scope includes the establishment of new IF and the extension of two 132 kilovolt (“kV”) bays at the existing transmission main intake (“PMU”) Aman Jaya. The contracts will commence upon issuance of the Notice to Proceed (“NTP”) from FSSB, with a targeted completion period of 10 months from NTP date.

Datuk Dang Siong Diang, Executive Director of MN Holdings commented, “These projects reinforce our strong support for Malaysia’s green energy agenda and highlight our continued involvement in the nation’s shift toward cleaner, renewable sources of power. By delivering essential interconnection works, we are enabling the integration of large-scale solar energy into the national grid, contributing to a more sustainable and resilient power ecosystem.”

He added, “As Malaysia moves toward its net-zero ambitions, infrastructure for solar energy and grid connectivity will play a critical role. MN Holdings remains committed to being part of this transformation, providing reliable and future-ready engineering solutions to support the growth of the renewable energy sector.”

These latest contracts underscore MN Holdings growing participation in Malaysia’s Large Scale Solar (“LSS”) programme and support the broader National Energy Transition Roadmap (“NETR”). The Group continues to pursue opportunities that align with low-carbon infrastructure development, while reinforcing its position as a trusted partner in Malaysia’s evolving energy landscape.

Notably, MN Holdings has also secured another project for a Corporate Green Power Programme (“CGPP”) power plant in Kuala Ketil, Kedah, with contract sum of RM5.2 million for engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning of IF for a 14.99MWac solar power plant. These winning contracts further strengthen its position in Malaysia’s renewable energy sector and reinforce its role in supporting Malaysia’s energy transition development.
