Globetronics Technology Bhd (“GTB” or the “Group”), an established player in the Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (“OSAT”) and semiconductor industry, today announced its financial results for the quarter ended 31 March 2025 (“Q5 FY2024”). The Group recorded revenue of RM25.0 million in Q5 FY2024, representing a 6.0% increase from RM23.6 million in the immediate preceding quarter (“Q4 FY2024”). The improvement in revenue was primarily attributed to higher volume loadings from key customers.
Profit Before Tax (“PBT”) declined to RM0.4 million in Q5 FY2024, compared to RM6.4 million in Q4 FY2024. This was largely due to the absence of foreign exchange gains, with the Group recognising a RM0.5 million forex loss during the quarter, compared to a RM6.2 million forex gain in the previous quarter.
GTB’s net assets per share remained stable at RM0.46, with cash and cash equivalents of RM127.2 million as at 31 March 2025. The Group also continued to invest in its infrastructure, with RM36.7 million spent on property, plant and equipment during the quarter.
The Management of GTB commented, “While the current quarter saw improved volume loadings, foreign exchange fluctuations impacted our bottom line. Nevertheless, our strong fundamentals and prudent cost management provide us with a solid foundation to navigate the ongoing industry volatility. We remain committed to enhancing operational efficiency and unlocking new growth opportunities.”
The Group remains cautiously optimistic about its prospects in 2025, with a continued focus on innovation, operational excellence, and strategic collaborations to navigate the evolving semiconductor landscape.
There are no comparative year-on-year figures as GTB’s financial year end has been changed from 31 March 2025 to 30 June 2025.
