Master Tec Initiates Transfer to Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities

Master Tec Group Berhad (“Master Tec” or the “Group”), a premier player in the manufacturing and distribution of power, control and instrumentation cables, has announced a significant corporate milestone with the proposed transfer of its listing from the ACE Market to the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad (“Bursa Securities”). The proposal, which also includes relevant amendments to the Company’s Constitution, underscores the Group’s robust financial performance, operational maturity, and growing investor confidence.

The proposed transfer comes less than two years after Master Tec’s successful debut on the ACE Market in January 2024, and is anchored by its strong profitability, solid balance sheet, and compliance with the equity and listing requirements set by the Securities Commission Malaysia (“SC”) and Bursa Securities.

Based on the audited financial results for the financial year ended 31 December 2024 (“FYE2024”), the Group recorded a consolidated profit after tax attributable to owners of the Company (“PATAMI”) of RM27.01 million. Over the last three financial years, from FYE2022 to FYE2024, the Group achieved an aggregate adjusted PATAMI of RM73.30 million, surpassing the minimum RM20 million threshold required under the profit test of the SC’s Equity Guidelines.

In addition to its earnings track record, Master Tec maintains a healthy financial position with a current ratio of 1.81 times, gearing ratio of 0.35 times, and retained earnings of RM93.8 million as at 31 December 2024. The Group also reported positive net operating cash flows of RM29.88 million in FYE2024, reinforcing its liquidity and financial stability.

As at 15 May 2025, Master Tec’s public shareholding spread stands at 26.34%, held by over 1,750 public shareholders, thus fulfilling the Main Market’s public spread requirement. With a market capitalisation of approximately RM1.04 billion as at the latest practicable date, the Group’s share value has more than doubled since its ACE Market listing, reflecting strong investor confidence.

Mr. Tee Kok Hwa, Executive Director of Master Tec Group, commented, “This proposed Main Market transfer is a testament to the strength and resilience of our business. Since our listing, we have achieved several operational milestones, expanded our manufacturing capacity, and diversified our revenue streams through the integration of infrastructure-related services. The move to the Main Market marks the next chapter of our corporate journey, aligning with our long-term strategy to enhance visibility, broaden our investor base, and access more robust capital markets.”

Mr. Tee added, “We believe this transfer will not only elevate our corporate profile and investor reach, especially among institutional investors, but also enhance confidence among our customers, suppliers, employees, and stakeholders. It positions us well to capitalise on Malaysia’s growing investments in energy transition, infrastructure modernisation, and industrial development.”

This development marks a pivotal step for Master Tec as it continues to build on its strategic foundation and scale new heights in Malaysia’s dynamic power infrastructure ecosystem.

As at 5:00 P.M., 30 May 2025, Master Tec’s share price closed at RM 1.06, reflecting a market capitalisation of RM 1.08 billion.
