Saliran Group Berhad (“Saliran” or the “Company”), an established supplier and distributor of pipes, fittings and flanges as well as related parts and accessories, and steel products, is pleased to announce the appointment of Yong Wai Kin (“Yong”), the Company’s Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”), as Executive Director of the Company effective today. This strategic appointment reflects the Board’s confidence in Yong’s leadership and expertise as Saliran continues to advance its growth trajectory post-IPO.
Yong, who has served as Chief Financial Officer of Saliran since May 2022, brings over three decades of experience in finance, audit, and corporate management across diverse industries such as manufacturing, automotive, media, and palm oil. Since joining Saliran, he has played a pivotal role in leading the Company’s financial management and was instrumental in steering the successful listing of Saliran on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia in 2025.
Prior to joining Saliran, Yong held senior leadership positions including Executive Director and CFO of Mann Seng Metal International Ltd., where he facilitated its IPO on the Singapore Exchange in May 2010. He also previously served as CFO of Econframe Berhad, where he oversaw the Group’s financial and corporate affairs and played a key role in its public listing in October 2020.

Yong is a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (“ACCA”), a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (“MIA”), and holds a Higher Diploma in Accounting from the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (“LCCI”).
