Hektar Asset Management Sdn Bhd, the Manager of Hektar Real Estate Investment Trust (“Hektar REIT”), is pleased to unveil an ambitious 3-month attempt and collaboration with BRYKS, bringing to life an immersive brick-building experience across its malls nationwide. The BRYKS Exhibition, set to run from August to November 2025, reflects Hektar REIT’s continued dedication to creating dynamic, family-friendly spaces and activating placemaking with meaningful community engagement.
The centerpiece of this initiative is the BRYKS Exhibition at Subang Parade, launched on 28 August 2025, which will feature the largest brick-built showcase in Malaysia; a bold attempt at setting a new Guinness World Record by assembling 2,000 panda figures made entirely of bricks. This monumental installation will anchor the exhibition through to 23 November 2025, offering interactive zones, live workshops, and collaborative displays with selected tenants. Subang Parade will also host themed weekends and educational sessions designed to engage both young builders and design enthusiasts, making it the heart of the movement.
In conjunction with this main installation, all malls within the Hektar REIT portfolio will host their own two-week BRYKS pop-ups, each curated to reflect their local community while retaining the excitement and creativity of the nationwide tour. The journey begins at Mahkota Parade in Melaka in early September, before travelling to Segamat Central in Johor, followed by Wetex Parade in Muar, Kulim Central in Kedah, and wrapping up at Central Square in Sungai Petani. Each stop will offer mallgoers a vibrant space for hands-on creativity, collaborative building challenges, and exclusive tenant tie-ins designed to celebrate innovation through play.
Adding a sense of adventure to the experience, a cross-mall Treasure Hunt Challenge will be launched, encouraging visitors to collect stamps across each participating mall in exchange for exclusive gifts. This initiative not only enhances inter-mall engagement, but also strengthens Hektar REIT’s goal of nurturing meaningful and memorable experiences for shoppers of all ages.
