If you’ve ever wanted to unleash your inner child with a pile of colourful bricks, Hektar Malls are about to make that dream come true. From August to November 2025, shoppers across Malaysia can look forward to the BRYKS Exhibition, an interactive celebration of imagination, family fun, and even a Guinness World Record attempt.

A Record-Breaking Centrepiece at Subang Parade
The heart of the action is happening at Subang Parade, where more than 2,000 panda figures built entirely out of bricks are being assembled. This bold attempt to set a new Guinness World Record has already captured the curiosity of families, students, and design enthusiasts alike. Alongside the record attempt, visitors can enjoy hands-on workshops, themed weekends, and live building sessions.
A Nationwide Tour with Local Flavour
But the fun doesn’t stop in Subang Jaya. The BRYKS Exhibition is also travelling across Hektar REIT’s portfolio of malls: Mahkota Parade (Melaka), Segamat Central (Johor), Wetex Parade (Muar), Kulim Central (Kedah), and Central Square (Sungai Petani). Each mall is hosting its own two-week pop-up, infused with local flavour and tenant collaborations that make every stop a little different. Think creative building challenges, community-driven displays, and plenty of opportunities to let your imagination run wild.
Treasure Hunt Adventure
To top it all off, Hektar is rolling out a cross-mall Treasure Hunt Challenge. Shoppers who collect stamps at each participating mall stand a chance to redeem exclusive gifts. It’s a clever way to turn mall visits into a nationwide adventure — blending play, shopping, and discovery into one memorable journey.
Why It Matters
For Hektar Malls, this isn’t just about fun and games. It’s about transforming malls into vibrant community hubs where families can bond, tenants can thrive, and creativity can flourish. As Zainal Iskandar, Executive Director and CEO of Hektar Asset Management, puts it:
“The BRYKS Exhibition is not just a mall activation, it’s a celebration of imagination, collaboration, and community engagement. By transforming our spaces into creative hubs, we are offering families and shoppers a whole new kind of experience that unites learning and leisure.”
