AIZO Group Secures RM9.09 Million Infrastructure Sub-Contract for Cheras TOD Development

Road and Drainage Works to Support 2,796-Unit Transit-Oriented Development Serviced Apartment Project in Selangor

AIZO Group Berhad (“AIZO” or the “Company“) has strengthened its construction order book after its wholly-owned subsidiary, AIZO Construction Sdn. Bhd. (“AIZO Construction”), secured a RM9.09 million sub-contract for road and drainage works in Cheras, Selangor.

The contract was awarded by Xense Design Sdn. Bhd., acting on behalf of its client Esan Juta Sdn. Bhd., for infrastructure works supporting a proposed transit-oriented development (“TOD”) on Lot 33925, Mukim Cheras, Daerah Hulu Langat. The development will comprise three blocks of serviced apartments with 2,796 units, together with related ancillary components.

The scope of works covers road and drainage infrastructure, a critical component in supporting accessibility, site readiness and long-term functionality for large-scale urban developments. The contract commenced on 18 June 2026 and is expected to be completed by 17 August 2027.

The latest award reinforces AIZO Construction’s role in delivering essential infrastructure works for urban development projects, particularly in high-density areas where connectivity, drainage and external works are key to overall project execution.

En. Ahmad Rahizal Bin Dato’ Ahmad Rasidi, Executive Director of AIZO

En. Ahmad Rahizal Bin Dato’ Ahmad Rasidi, the Executive Director of AIZO commented, “This award adds further momentum to AIZO’s construction pipeline and reflects the market’s continued confidence in our ability to deliver infrastructure-related works. Road and drainage works may not always be the most visible part of a development, but they are among the most important components in ensuring a project is properly supported from the ground up.”

He added, “The Cheras TOD project is a sizeable urban development with 2,796 serviced apartment units, and we are pleased that AIZO Construction has been entrusted to contribute to its supporting infrastructure. This contract also fits well with our strategy of pursuing commercially viable projects that can contribute positively to the Company’s earnings.”

This latest award is expected to strengthen the Company’s construction pipeline and support earnings contribution for the financial year ending 30 June 2027, while reinforcing its role in delivering infrastructure works for urban and transit-linked developments.

Moving forward, AIZO will continue to pursue commercially viable construction and infrastructure opportunities, particularly projects that align with Malaysia’s urban development, connectivity and sustainability agenda. The Company remains focused on disciplined project execution, cost efficiency and building a stronger recurring project base across its civil engineering and infrastructure segment.
