AIZO Q4 Revenue Rises 5% YoY as Civil Engineering and Bituminous Segments Strengthen

AIZO Group Berhad (”AIZO“ or the “Company“), today announced its unaudited financial results for the fourth quarter ended 30 June 2026 (”Q4 FY2026“), recording revenue of RM38.81 million, up 5% year-on-year from RM37.02 million in the corresponding quarter.

The improvement was supported by stronger contributions from the Company’s core civil engineering and bituminous products businesses. Civil engineering revenue increased 7% YoY to RM27.77 million from RM26.07 million, while the segment’s operating loss narrowed sharply to RM0.21 million from RM2.89 million a year earlier, reflecting the impact of tighter cost control and continued execution of existing projects.

The bituminous products segment delivered a particularly strong quarter, with operating profit rising 181% YoY to RM1.62 million from RM0.58 million, while revenue increased to RM9.03 million from RM8.87 million. The improvement was supported by higher deliveries arising from stronger orders during the quarter and disciplined cost management.

At the Company level, loss before tax narrowed by approximately 49% year-on-year to RM3.89 million from RM7.69 million in Q4 FY2025, while administrative expenses declined to RM5.69 million from RM13.88 million. Management remains focused on improving operating efficiency and cost control across all business segments.

En. Ahmad Rahizal Bin Dato’ Ahmad Rasidi, Executive Director of AIZO, commented, “The latest quarter shows clear improvement in our two core operating segments. Civil engineering continued to deliver a stable revenue base with a significantly improved operating result, while our bituminous business benefited from stronger orders, higher deliveries and tighter cost discipline.”

He added, “Our priority going into FY2027 is to build on this momentum while addressing areas that require further operational improvement. We will remain disciplined in project selection, execution and capital allocation, while continuing to pursue opportunities that can strengthen recurring activity across our civil engineering, infrastructure and bituminous businesses.”

For the 12 months ended 30 June 2026, AIZO recorded revenue of RM145.84 million. Civil engineering remained the largest contributor with RM106.09 million of revenue, followed by bituminous products at RM31.59 million and energy at RM7.91 million. The civil engineering and bituminous segments recorded positive segment results of RM3.83 million and RM2.22 million respectively for the financial year.

Looking ahead, the Company will continue to strengthen its project pipeline and pursue commercially viable construction and infrastructure opportunities. Following the financial year end, AIZO Construction secured a RM9.09 million sub-contract for road and drainage works supporting a 2,796-unit transit-oriented development in Cheras, Selangor, with the project expected to contribute to earnings for the financial year ending 30 June 2027. The Company will continue to prioritise disciplined execution, cost efficiency and sustainable project replenishment as it enters the new financial year.
