Kee Ming Secures RM40.0 Million M&E Subcontract Works For Industrial Projects In Penang And Selangor

Kee Ming Group Berhad (“Kee Ming” or the “Company”), a mechanical and electrical (“M&E”) engineering solutions provider, today announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Kee Ming Electrical Sdn. Bhd. (“KME”), has accepted two letters of award (“LOAs”) to undertake subcontract works for M&E engineering services for two separate industrial projects in Valdor Industrial Area, Penang (“LOA 1”) and Taman Perdagangan Elmina, Selangor (“LOA 2”), with an aggregate subcontract sum of RM40.0 million.

LOA 1 which is valued at RM21.0 million relates to a warehouse located in Valdor Industrial Area, Penang. The scope of the M&E engineering services includes the supply, delivery, installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of air conditioning and mechanical ventilation (“ACMV”) system, fire protection system, electrical, telephone and extra-low voltage (“ELV”) services, as well as the building management system.

LOA 2 which is valued at RM19.0 million relates to a warehouse located in Taman Perdagangan Elmina, Selangor. The scope of the M&E engineering services includes electrical services, fire protection system and ACMV system. Across both projects, KME’s works also include, where applicable, infrastructure works within the project boundary, street lighting and card access systems.

Both LOAs were awarded by a third-party contractor principally involved in the design, supply and installation of steel structures, as well as general civil engineering and building construction projects. The subcontract works are undertaken on a fixed-price lump-sum basis and will commence upon acceptance of the respective LOAs.

LOA 1 is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2027, while LOA 2 is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2027. The two awards broaden Kee Ming’s exposure to industrial developments across key economic locations and further demonstrate the Company’s ability to undertake integrated M&E engineering packages across electrical and mechanical disciplines.

Ir. Liew Kar Hoe, Managing Director of Kee Ming Group Berhad said, “These two awards strengthen our industrial project pipeline and reflect the breadth of our M&E engineering capabilities. The combined RM40.0 million value is meaningful to Kee Ming, while the scope of works across electrical system, ACMV system, fire protection system and building management system demonstrates our ability to deliver integrated solutions for industrial developments.”

He added, “The industrial segment remains an important market for Kee Ming, and these awards further broaden our exposure across key locations in Penang and Selangor. Our priority is to execute these projects well, maintain cost discipline and continue building a diversified pipeline across industrial, commercial, clean energy and infrastructure opportunities.”

As at 30 June 2026, Kee Ming’s outstanding order book stood at RM206.4 million. The latest RM40.0 million in awards, secured after the end of the quarter, further strengthens the Company’s project pipeline and supports revenue visibility as the projects progress through their respective execution schedules.

The latest awards also build on Kee Ming’s post-listing project momentum, as the Company continues to participate actively in tenders across the industrial, commercial, clean energy and public infrastructure segments. Its ongoing expansion of project teams and operational systems is intended to support the execution of a larger and more diverse portfolio of M&E engineering projects.

Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the LOAs are expected to contribute positively to the earnings, earnings per share and net assets of Kee Ming for the financial year ending 31 March 2027 and throughout the duration of the respective projects.
