Datuk Abdul Halim Hamzah, Secretary General of the Ministry of Communications; and Encik Kamarudin Abdul Rani, Undersecretary, Control and Compliance Division, Ministry of Communications.

As part of this collaboration, Futuromic formally presented its sponsorship contribution valued at RM533,330 during the Majlis Penyerahan Sumbangan Penajaan Rakan Strategik Sambutan HKHM 2026, held on 12 August 2026 at Menara Komunikasi, Putrajaya. The ceremony was officiated by YB Dato’ Seri Fahmi Fadzil, Minister of Communications, and attended by representatives from various strategic partners supporting HKHM 2026.

In recognition of its support, Futuromic also received a Certificate of Appreciation from the Ministry of Communications, marking an important milestone in the company’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its relationship and visibility with national institutions.

This sponsorship reflects Futuromic’s role as more than an imaging products distributor. Through its portfolio of trusted global imaging brands and strong community engagement, Futuromic continues to position itself as an active partner in Malaysia’s creative ecosystem, supporting photographers, creators and everyday Malaysians in documenting stories that matter.

In conjunction with HKHM 2026, Futuromic is also supporting the Jejak Merdeka Photowalk Experience, a series of photography-focused community activities that invite Malaysians to celebrate Merdeka and Malaysia Day through visual storytelling. The programme encourages participants to walk with Nikon Creators, capture their own Malaysia story, and take part in photography-led activities such as guided photowalks and mini photo challenges.

The photowalk series includes:

  • Jejak Merdeka #1 – Raptai Penuh Putrajaya, taking place on 29 August 2026 in Putrajaya from 5.30am to 11.30am;
  • Jejak Merdeka #2 – The Story of Merdeka Walk, taking place on 31 August 2026 at Dataran Merdeka from 8.00am to 11.00am; and
  • Jejak Merdeka #3 – Malaysia Day x Keretapi Sarong, taking place on 16 September 2026, from 8.00am to 11.00am, with the venue to be confirmed.

Across these sessions, participants will be guided by experienced Nikon Creators, including Pratap Krishnan, Ali Shamsul Bahar and Sean Liew, with selected sessions also featuring light refreshments and mini photo challenges with prizes.

In addition, Futuromic is supporting the Pertandingan Foto Jurnalisme Lensa Malaysia 2026, organised in conjunction with Hari Kebangsaan and Hari Malaysia 2026. The contest offers RM15,000 in total prizes and is open to Malaysian citizens aged 15 and above, with the participation period running from 10 August to 20 September 2026.

Through these initiatives, Futuromic aims to play an active role in encouraging Malaysians to see, capture and preserve the spirit of Merdeka through their own lens. From national celebrations and cultural moments to everyday stories of unity, the campaign aligns closely with Futuromic’s brand belief: Create. Connect. Inspire.

By supporting HKHM 2026, Futuromic is not only strengthening its visibility as an official imaging partner for a major national programme, but also reinforcing its broader purpose of connecting people with the tools, platforms and experiences that help them tell meaningful stories.
