BMS Holdings Berhad (“BMS Holdings” or the “Company”), an established retailer and distributor of tiles, stone surfaces, bathware and kitchenware in Malaysia, today entered into a Joint Venture and Shareholders Agreement with Wee Tatt Traders Sdn. Bhd. (“Wee Tatt”) and its shareholders, formalising the proposed joint venture to facilitate the Company’s expansion into the northern region of Peninsular Malaysia.

The joint venture will be undertaken through Jubin BMS (Wee Tatt) Sdn. Bhd. (“Jubin BMS (Wee Tatt)” or the “JV Company”), which is 60%-owned by BMS Holdings and 40%-owned by Wee Tatt’s shareholders. The joint venture company will be involved in the retail, wholesale and project sales of tiles, stone surfaces, bathware and kitchenware.
The joint venture partners will contribute a total of RM5.0 million to Jubin BMS (Wee Tatt), comprising RM3.0 million in cash from BMS Holdings and RM2.0 million in inventory/stock-in-trade from Wee Tatt’s shareholders. BMS Holdings’ cash contribution will be made following the verification, valuation and transfer of the inventory/stock-in-trade to the JV Company.
To support the joint venture’s operations, Wee Tatt’s agreed business assets, contracts and employees are intended to be transferred to Jubin BMS (Wee Tatt), subject to the necessary consents and approvals, where applicable. The JV Company will operate from an existing retail showroom of Wee Tatt located at Penang with storage facility. This is expected to provide the joint venture with an established operational base, workforce and premises to support its operations.
Wee Tatt, which is involved in the trading of ceramics and related products, has been operating in Penang for over 36 years. The joint venture enables BMS Holdings to leverage Wee Tatt’s market presence and resources to strengthen its distribution network and market reach in the northern region of Peninsular Malaysia.

Mr. Ang Kwee Peng, Managing Director of BMS Holdings said, “The northern region of Peninsular Malaysia represents an important growth market for BMS Holdings. This joint venture with Wee Tatt’s shareholders allows us to establish our presence in the region on a strong foundation, supported by an experienced team, established premises and existing customer relationships.”
“By combining Wee Tatt’s local market presence with BMS Holdings’ more than three decades of industry experience and broad product portfolio, we see meaningful opportunities to grow across the retail, wholesale and project segments. We look forward to working closely with our partners to serve customers in the region and to build a positive contributor to the Group’s future earnings,” he added.
BMS Holdings will hold management control of the JV Company, with the right to appoint the majority of its board, including the chairman. As a 60%-owned subsidiary, the financial results of Jubin BMS (Wee Tatt) will be consolidated into the Group’s financial statements.
BMS Holdings will fund its investment through internally generated funds and/or bank borrowings. The joint venture is expected to contribute positively to the Group’s future earnings.
The joint venture extends BMS Holdings’ footprint beyond its existing network in Johor, Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Negeri Sembilan and Sarawak. It also follows the opening of the Company’s first Senova Bath & Kitchen Gallery in Johor Bahru in September 2026, as the Group continues to broaden its geographic reach and product offering.
