Citrawarna Speed Festival 2026 Closes with 100-Lamborghini Convoy from Putrajaya to Sepang

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 4 — The Citrawarna Speed Festival 2026 concluded in spectacular fashion with the Konvoi Eksklusif Lamborghini 2026, featuring approximately 100 Lamborghini supercars travelling from IOI City Mall Putrajaya to the Sepang International Circuit (SIC) as part of the Visit Malaysia 2026–2027 (VM2026–2027) campaign.

Organised in collaboration with Lamborghini Owners Malaysia (LOM), the convoy departed from IOI City Mall at noon before heading to Sepang, where the vehicles were showcased in an open-air exhibition for members of the public, automotive enthusiasts and international visitors.

The flag-off ceremony was officiated by Muhammad Kamil Abdul Munim, Political Secretary to the Minister of Finance, together with Dato’ Shaharuddin Abu Sohot, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture. Organisers said the event reflected continued support for private-sector initiatives that help position Malaysia as a destination for luxury lifestyle and automotive tourism.

Other guests in attendance included Mohd Akbal Setia, Deputy Director General (Promotions) and Head of the Visit Malaysia 2026–2027 Secretariat, Roslan Rosdi, President of Lamborghini Owners Malaysia, representatives from IOI Properties, and Angela Mak of YES Travel & Holidays.

Held under the themes“Art, Culture, Speed, Together” and “Malaysia Moves Together”, the festival combined automotive culture, entertainment and tourism promotion into a single platform, showcasing Malaysia as a dynamic destination for international travellers through both physical and digital engagement.

Tourism Malaysia said the event supports the momentum of the VM2026–2027 campaign, which comes as Malaysia recorded 28.8 million international visitor arrivals between January and August 2026, a 1.8% increase from the corresponding period last year.

The agency added that strong collaboration between public and private sector partners through initiatives such as Citrawarna Speed Festival 2026 is expected to generate positive spillover effects for the hospitality, food and beverage, and retail sectors in Putrajaya and Sepang.

According to the Tourism Satellite Account 2025, tourism contributed 15.9% to Malaysia’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP), generating RM323.0 billion in Gross Value Added of Tourism Industries (GVATI), underscoring its role as a key driver of economic growth.
